CAREER AND COLLEGE PATHWAY
                                                               IMPLEMENTATION AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE

Initially, early adopters and pilot test sites will be used to implement the Career and College Pathway, and the process will be unique to each district and school.  This process will be in the context of that schools existing Academic and Career and Technical Education programs, since there will be a need to determine how best to integrate the competencies into the existing curriculum.

While implementation will be unique, there are three components of the Career and College Pathway that must be present:

1. It must be demonstrated where the Pathway Core Academic, Employability and Technical competencies are taught/integrated into the curriculum.
2. It must be demonstrated that the assessments used have been correlated to the Pathway Core Academic, Employability and Technical competencies, and they are valid and reliable.
3. The level of competency attainment must be consistent with that identified on the Career and College Pathway website.

It is anticipated that the primary source of policy development for implementation of the Career and College pathway by Districts and schools will be provided by Arizona Department of Education. This will involve education specialists from both Academic and Career and Technical Education.

Additionally, this website will become the primary conduit for technical assistance related to the ongoing implementation of the Pathway, providing a method of inter-site communication, policy updates from ADE, and other information  for implementation sites.
